From the Desk of the Principal:
It has been a great year. Thank you for choosing us as your partners in education. Have an activity-filled, safe, and fun summer. Please encourage your student to practice math and read. Math and reading can be incorporated into planned activities. There are many helpful websites for parents looking for ideas. Keep it fun but add some substance to the activity.
We bid farewell to our 8 th grade students and to the families who will be moving away from the Bartlesville area. Good luck next year. We are looking forward to seeing the rest of you in the August.

Please check the Volunteer Grand Individual Program offered by the company. St. John School could receive up to $6,000.00 per year by you keeping track of your volunteer hours online. With just 20 hours of documented volunteer time, we can receive $500.00. This is a very generous offer from the company. We appreciate any help you can give us in this area. Two of your coworkers have already taken advantage of this opportunity.
Other News from the School
Thanks and Keep Up the Good Work!!! Thanks to all of you for helping make our fundraisers a big success this past year. These included Box Tops, Box Tops Marketplace, Garfield's Sunday dinner, Land's End gift cards, Staples toner recycling, Homeland and Campbell Soup labels. Keep collecting Box Tops, Campbell labels and used inkjet and laserjet cartridges over the summer too! If you have questions or wish to have cartridges picked up during the summer, call Cindy Burke at 335-3744 for information.

Thanks to the students who helped with the production.
All grade cards will be mailed. This will give you Thursday and Friday to take care of any outstanding payments.
Yearbooks. Yearbook order forms are available in the office or on the St. John School Website. Forms are due back on or before May 20, 2010 (the last day of school). For questions contact Mary Lynn Mihm at Mihmesq@aol.com .
Yearbook Photos. Calling on all parents, teachers and staff who have taken photos during this past year. Please send your photos to Mihmesq@aol.com in a jpeg or tiff format or burn them onto a disc and leave them in the school office on or before May 20, 2010. If you want your disc back please let me know. Otherwise, I will archive the disc at the school. Please make sure your camera’s megapixel is 3.1 or higher. The higher the resolution of the photo, the better the quality of the yearbook. So many times we get great photos they just are not high enough resolution. Specifically, we are looking for photos of day to day classroom activities, field trips, programs, special events, sports, field day, first and last day of school, playground shots, cafeteria, electives, class parties and more.
