St. John Capital Campaign
After many years of in depth study, plans for building a new parish family life center/school gymnasium and school renovation will be presented this weekend and the weekend of March 20 th at all Masses. If you are a registered member of St. John Church, I strongly encourage you to attend Mass and vote on the plans as presented at the Masses.
Enrollment for 2010-2011
Enrollment information was sent home last week with your child. We are currently making plans for next year. We will be taking enrollment forms from our current families starting March 1 and all other families starting March 8 th. Preference will be given to current families, but please get your enrollment forms in as soon as possible, which will allow us to make good decisions about next year’s students.
Middle School Parent Meeting
Please join the teachers of 4 th grade and Middle School along with Mrs. Sears as we explore the first-class curriculum that awaits students in Middle School. We will also have a panel discussion about continuing your child’s education through 8 th grade at St. John. This will be Wednesday, March 10 @5:30 PM in Father Lynch Hall. Hope to see you there.
2010-2011 Tuition Assistance Information
It is that time of year to start planning for next year. Any parent who is seeking a scholarship or tuition assistance from St. John School or from the Saint Francis Tuition Assistance Program must complete the online information with the FACTS Company. The website is www.factstutitionaid.com . The application cost is $25.00. If the application cost is prohibitive, please let me know. Also, all information and supporting documents must be completed before award can be made. Deadline for application is March 15 th. You must supply your 2009 tax information. Only Catholic families qualify for the St. Francis Tuition Assistance program; all students qualify to apply for a school-based scholarship. Scholarships are need-base.
COP Volunteer Grant Program:
ConocoPhillips will donate $500 for every 20 hours an employee or retiree volunteers with an eligible 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Additionally, teams of four or more employees or retirees volunteering at least 40 hours on a specific project may apply for a team grant of $1,000 to an eligible organization. Employees and retirees will be eligible to receive two individual grants per year for eligible non-profit organizations. Individual organizations can receive up to $6,000 per year from the company.
