Pre-K and Kindergarten, St John School

The St. John Pre-Kindergarten class is open to 4 year olds and is either a half or whole day program. We have done extensive planning to create this wonderful program. The Pre-K classroom has been furnished with smaller sized tables, chairs, and activity centers that are just right for children this age. A special playground area was also created for our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes.

St. John School offers a full-day Kindergarten program. The classroom was expanded and remodeled in the summer of 2004, providing a top-quality learning environment.

The program is designed to be developmentally appropriate. Students participate in a combination of whole class instruction and small group instructional centers. The curriculum uses a phonics-based approach.

The classroom curriculum is supplemented by special events throughout the year including field trips.

Students in both Pre-K and Kindergarten also receive instruction in Music, Computers, Physical Education, Art, Spanish, and Sign Language.

The Kindergarten children also get to participate in Friday Mass celebrations.
